Information for Guest Patrons

How do I sign up?

To set up your account, the library requires a current Missouri driver’s license or Missouri State photo ID and proof of address.

Proof of address is an official piece of mail postmarked within the last 3 months or a blank check.

Patrons with a current Military ID do not have to provide proof of Missouri residency.

Guest patron accounts are valid for two years and are currently issued at no cost.  Patrons under 16 must have their parent or legal guardian sign the application form.

What we have for you

After you set up your account, you can check out books from our general collection for one month.

Renewing a guest patron account

To be eligible for renewal, accounts must have no outstanding fines or fees.

To renew your patron account, please bring a current Missouri Driver's license or State photo ID and proof of address.

Proof of address is an official piece of mail postmarked within the last 3 months or a blank check.  Guest patron accounts will be renewed for a 2 year time period.

When are you open?

During each semester, including summer semesters, the library is typically open from 7:30 AM until midnight Monday-Friday and 8 AM until midnight on weekends.

We usually offer extended hours the week before and during final exams, and we are closed on New Year's Day, Martin Luther King Day, Memorial Day, the Fourth of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, the Friday following Thanksgiving, and Christmas Day.

Between semesters we typically have reduced hours.

We have our full calendar online to help you plan your visits.
