Important Information:

• We assign a DOI per submission, not per file.
• Scholars’ Mine automatically assigns a unique identifier to all items. This identifier is simply a different form of persistent and unique identifier from the DOI. Both forms are good quality and standard practice, but some people prefer DOIs which is why we offer this option.
• Fill out as much information as possible when submitting this request. This allows us to connect related research products together for better discoverability.

This form will request three categories of metadata: Mandatory, Recommended and Optional. You must complete the Mandatory section. Recommended properties are optional, but strongly recommended for interoperability. Optional properties, though not specifically recommended provide richer description. The prospect that a resource’s metadata will be found, cited, and linked is enhanced by using the combined Mandatory and Recommended “super set” of properties and sub-properties. It is strongly recommended that you review the Metadata Properties page befor completing this form. This page provides detailed explanations of each of the properties and their uses. The library may modify, add or delete metadata properties to conform to best practices and to enhance the metadata you provide using this form.

After you submit this form the submission will be reviewed and you will be contacted if we require additional information. You will be notified via email when the DOI request is active. Please allow 2 - 4 weeks for the request to be processed.
