Both Renee Brumett, Discovery Librarian and Kirsten Gross, Metadata Coordinator presented on Implementing a Multi-campus VuFind Library Catalog at the 2025 WOLFCon.
Renee Brumett has been appointed to the MOBIUS E-Resources Committee.
Kirsten Gross has been appointed to the MOBIUS Cataloging Committee.
Michael Lewis, Research Librarian for the College of engineering and Computing, was named Chair of the Missouri Library Association Committee on Intellectual Freedom. The committee monitors legislation and provides support and education to Missouri libraries on issues relating to intellectual freedom and censorship.
Georgette Nicolosi, Research Librarian for Kummer College and Online Education, presented twice at the American Library Association (ALA) Annual Conference in June 2025, first with Heather Froehlich “Money Talk: An Analysis of Financial Discussions on Reddit” 2025. She also developed and moderated the panel “AI on the Mind: A Cross-Disciplinary Librarian Panel on AI Applications.” In March, Ms. Nicolosi moderated a presentation at the ALA Reference Users Virtual Forum with Sara Kern on “Informal Learning and Community Building through Library Outreach.” Georgette was elected chair of Emerging Technologies Section for ALA.
Roger Weaver, Associate Dean of Libraries was invited to develop and moderate a panel discussion on the Values of User Groups at the 2025 Elsevier Impact Conference.
