Student Employment at the Library: Home

Thank you for your interest in applying for employment at the library. The library offers students a broad range of employment opportunities including:

  • Working at our service desk assisting other students, faculty and staff.
  • Assisting in the processing of books and other materials.
  • Digitizing information for access on the internet and via Interlibrary Loan.
  • Various other office tasks and special projects.

All student position in the library are part-time with a maximum of 20 hours per week. Pay is dependent on experience with a minimum of $12.00 per hour. To work at the library as a student employee you must:

  • be enrolled in S&T classes during the semester you plan to work. During the summer semester you must either be enrolled in summer classes or in fall classes.
  • complete all required forms and documents and be eligible or become eligible to work in the U.S. If you are in an international status, please contact the International Enrollment Office for information about employment eligibility and requirements. 

Missouri S&T students are limited to 20 hours of work per workweek; therefore, you may not be eligible for this position if you are currently employed elsewhere with the University.
