Graduate Services from the Writing and Communication Center

by Roger Weaver on 2025-10-21T09:53:38-05:00 | 0 Comments

The Writing and Communication Center plays a vital role in supporting graduate students’ academic and professional success. Our team works closely with graduate students across disciplines, providing individualized feedback on research articles, proposals, teaching philosophies, and other academic materials. Through both in-person consultations and an updated online submission system, we guide students through the revision process and help them develop stronger, more effective writing. Our technical editor provides an additional layer of quality control, ensuring students’ final drafts meet high standards for clarity, structure, grammar, and professionalism. Beyond writing, the WCC is expanding its services to address another critical skill set for graduate students: academic speaking.

With dedicated resources, a robust tracking system for student progress, and plans for workshops and community-building events, the WCC is deeply embedded in the graduate experience at Missouri S&T. We are not just a resource for editing—we are a partner in preparing students for academic, professional, and communicative success.
