When: Monday, September 17, 9:30 am - 11:30 am
Where: Missouri Room, Havener
Presenter: Don Howdeshell, Software Developer & Systems Adminstrator at Missouri University of Science & Technology
The Raspberry Pi 3 and the ESP8266 are very capable development boards, but how can one utilize all of their features? In this session, Don Howdeshell will walk through all of the features of both the Pi and the ESP. We will cover hardware and software, SPI, I2C, UART, and much more. This session is geared toward beginners and intermediate users of the systems. You will leave with a firm foundation of knowledge on which you can start designing and building your own "Internet of Things" (IoT) devices that can interact with the real world. Attendees will have a chance to enter a drawing to win one of several Raspberry Pi 3 B+ boards.
This session has a capacity of 30 people. Once the max capacity is reached, you will be placed on a waiting list. This registration link is exclusively for Missouri S&T students. If you are not affiliated with the university and would like to attend, please email library@mst.edu.
NOTE: In addition to this session, there are two other microcontroller workshops being offered at RTD. Register here: "Creating IoT Devices with Raspberry Pi" and "Creating IoT Devices with the ESP8266 microcontroller."
