Online Images and Licensing
Images you find online are often under licensing restricting their use, reuse, or reuse as a transformative work. To be certain you are using images that are licensed for reuse or for the purposes you are needing to use the image for, follow these simple steps to find images that don't infringe U.S. Copyright Law.
1. Perform a google image search for the image or type of image you are needing
2. Once you have performed the image search, you can then use the "More tools" drop down menu, to find "Usage rights" to filter the images on the screen according to the usage purposes you are planning for the image you find.
3. Using these filters will change your image search results.
4. No matter what image you use, don't forget to cite your source.
