Faculty Services

This quide provides information on library services offered to faculty.

Classroom Instruction

Faculty may request classroom instruction sessions for their classes. Classroom sessions provide a general overview to library services followed by detailed information that is relevant to the needs of a particular class. Typically sessions demonstrate how to find articles, books, and other information sources using library databases, indexes, the online catalog and whatever else is felt to be important. Faculty should feel free to consult with librarians about the topics and resources that they would like covered in a particular session.

  • Instruction in research and library services tailored to your classes and other groups
  • Custom library resource modules in Canvas
  • Assistance in designing research assignments for classes
  • Learning guides developed for departments and subject areas
  • Custom online course guides for classes
  • Purchase of books and materials in support of teaching or research (funding permitting)
  • Place books on reserve for your classes on request

If you would like to schedule a session contact the librarian assigned to your college.
