The University Libraries in partnership with The New York Times offers sponsored access to The New York Times content for all students, faculty and staff. This includes:

  • NYTimes.com & NYTimes app - Unlimited access to NYTimes.com on desktop, tablet and mobile devices, including the NYTimes mobile app.
  • New York Times Curated Newsletters - Subscriber can choose from over 80 email newsletters—featuring highlights, summaries and updates on top interests and sectors..
  • New York Times Multimedia - Access to all multimedia, including video, photography, and VT features.
  • TimesMachine - Over 150 years of New York Times journalism, as it originally appeared.

 

Student Focused Content and Resources

  • Explore career opportunities, internships and fellowships.
  • New York Times Corps - First-of-its-kind talent pipeline program for early-college students to receive career guidance from Times journalists over a multiyear period.
  • Spanish and Mandarin Chinese translated versions of NYTimes.com.
     

Tools for Instructors

  • ineducation.com - inEducation is The New York Times’s curricular tool, designed to help university professors and students connect what’s happening in the news with their studies.
  • The Learning Network -  Provides access to content and activities for today’s classroom. While geared towards an audience of native English-speaking high schoolers, the lessons, prompts, and activities can fuel critical thinking at different levels and are used by colleges and professors.

Activate Your Subscription

  1. Use the button below to open the activation page.
  2. Search for and click the listing for "Missouri University of Science and Technology - Rolla, MO."
  3. Follow the step based on whether you are On or Off Campus.

Please Note: If you have previously registered your email address on The New York Times site, you will click the "Already have an account?" "Log in here" link (below the "Create Account" button.)

Existing paid New York Times subscribers must cancel their paid subscription before authenticating via the school funded program.

Once registered, students will have access until 12/31 of the graduation year they choose and faculty/staff will have 4 years of full account access, after which they must re-authenticate by visiting accessnyt.com.

Subscribers encountering an error message can email edu@nytimes.com.
