Psychological Science

British Journal of Educational Psychology publishes psychological research that makes a significant contribution to the understanding and practice of education as well as advances the field in terms of theory related to educational psychology. Our aim is to publish research which has a broad international appeal to researchers and practitioners in education. We welcome empirical and methodological papers, experimental studies, observations of classroom behaviours, interviews, and surveys.

Contemporary Educational Psychology publishes articles that involve the application of psychological theory and science to the educational process. Of particular relevance are descriptions of empirical research and the presentation of theory designed to either explicate or enhance the educational process.

Educational Psychologist The scholarly essays, reviews, critiques, and theoretical and conceptual articles featured in this exceptional journal contribute to understanding issues, problems, and research concerning all aspects of educational psychology.

Journal of Educational Psychology The main purpose of this journal is to publish original, primary psychological research pertaining to education across all ages and educational levels. A secondary purpose of the Journal is the occasional publication of exceptionally important theoretical and review articles that are pertinent to educational psychology.

Journal of Instructional Psychology publishes original articles dealing with issues related to instruction and educational management and gives preferences to manuscripts focusing on bilingual and multicultural issues, at-risk youth, and educational technology. Teaching of Psychology Basic and introductory psychology courses are the most popular electives on college campuses and a rapidly growing addition to high school curriculums. As such, Teaching of Psychology is indispensable as a source book for teaching methods and as a forum for new ideas. Dedicated to improving the learning and teaching process at all educational levels, this journal has established itself as a leading source of information and inspiration for all who teach psychology.

 

Teacher Education

Action in Teacher Education is published by the Association of Teacher Educator and serves as a forum for the exchange of information and ideas related to the improvement of teacher education at all levels. Articles focus upon concepts, practices, and research which have implications and applicability for practitioners involved with teacher education.

Educational Review offers authoritative reviews of current national and international issues in schooling and education. It publishes peer-reviewed papers from international contributors which report research across a range of education fields including curriculum, inclusive and special education, educational psychology, policy, management and international and comparative education.

Educational Studies aims to provide a forum for original investigations and theoretical studies in education. The journal publishes fully refereed papers which cover applied and theoretical approaches to the study of education.
Papers should constitute original research, and should be methodologically sound, theoretically informed, and of relevance to an international audience.

European Journal of Teacher Education provides a forum for the examination of policies, theories and practices related to the education and training of teachers at pre-service and in-service levels in the countries of Europe.

Journal of Classroom Interaction (JCI) is a semi-annual publication devoted to empirical investigations and theoretical papers dealing with observation techniques, research on student and teacher behavior, and other topics relevant to the domain of classroom interaction.

Journal of Education for Teaching (JET) publishes original contributions on the subject of teacher education. The journal interprets ’teacher education’ in the widest sense, to include academic staff involved with, and responsible for, initial teacher education, continued professional development and the broad field of research into higher education’s contribution to education. JET welcomes scholarly discussions of new issues in the field, which would include original and rigorous analysis of the policies and practices involved in preparing individuals to work in education at any level.

Journal of Further and Higher Education is an international, peer-reviewed journal publishing scholarly work that represents the whole field of post-16 education and training. The journal engages with a diverse range of topics within the field including management and administration, teacher education and training, curriculum, staff and institutional development, and teaching and learning strategies and processes.

Journal of Teacher Education The mission of the Journal of Teacher Education, the flagship journal of AACTE, is to serve as a research forum for a diverse group of scholars who are invested in the preparation and continued support of teachers and who can have a significant voice in discussions and decision-making around issues of teacher education. One of the fundamental goals of the journal is the use of evidence from rigorous investigation.

Kappa Delta Pi Record, published quarterly in partnership with Taylor & Francis, is a peer-reviewed journal that presents research-based articles on compelling issues relevant to national and international education professionals who work and teach at all levels and in a wide range of disciplines and settings. 

Kappan Magazine Phi Delta Kappan is the professional magazine for anyone who cares about K-12 education. This influential publication features articles about classroom practice, policy, research, professional issues, and innovations in education. Addressing issues related to K-12 education and with its unique role in education, Kappan sits clearly at the intersection of practice, policy, and research.

The Curriculum Journal is an international peer-reviewed journal that publishes original contributions to the study of curriculum, pedagogy and assessment. Papers reporting empirical studies and theoretical analyses from a range of perspectives, including philosophical and historical, are welcome. The journal particularly welcomes papers that include attention to the implications for policy and practice that arise from theoretical and empirical work. The journal makes a specialist contribution to knowledge related to the educational phasese that impact on children from the early years to adulthood.

The Educational Forum provides thought-provoking, challenging essays, research reports, and featured works designed to stimulate dialogue in education on a worldwide scale.

Theater

Research in Drama Education provides an international forum for research into drama and theatre conducted in community, educational, developmental and therapeutic contexts.

Theater Topics is a peer-reviewed publication committed to publishing subjects of current interest, written in accessible and well-defined language, for a general audience of theatre educators and practitioners. Subjects of interest include acting, advocacy, community-based theatre, design, directing, dramaturgy, and theatre pedagogy, with an emphasis on articles that reflect the intersection of theory and practice.
